Artist Statement

I am a painter-printmaker living in the heart of rural Norfolk. My mixed media paintings balance on the edge between abstraction and representation, inviting viewers to see something new each time—sometimes even evoking a ‘visual music’ that hints at synesthesia. Musical manuscript often weaves through my work, deepening the dialogue between sight and sound.

As a printmaker, I push beyond convention, blending techniques to create unique pieces and limited variable editions. I enjoy the physicality of the printmaking process and, by exploring the variety of marks that can be made with a few simple tools, I’ve developed a personal visual language to capture the spirit of the Norfolk countryside.
